This 10 person custom dining table absolutely made me fall in love with building more traditional style pieces of furniture. While components of this nod to some contemporary style, the beading, trim work and lion's head are all traditional in nature.
The coloring of the mahogany falls in a few different shades over the beading details which gives the piece so much depth. The beading around the curves of the legs is by far my favorite detail. Likely because it was the most challenging part so I grew to really appreciate it.
As your eye moves from the bright white quartz table top with the lovely double ogee profile, the brass lion head and feet create a nice contrast and pop.
This piece of furniture was hand made in San Diego, California.
